Meeting Attire

What to Wear…

The conference attire for all sessions and receptions is business casual, however, please remember that meeting room temperatures and personal comfort zones vary widely. It is a good idea to bring a sweater or jacket with you to the sessions.

Air Travel

All attendees are responsible for making your own flight arrangements to the conference.
Please check with your airline of choice for their travel rules and regulations.

Ground Transportation

Ground transportation will not be provided for this conference. Taxis are available at the airport to take you to the Flamingo Hotel.

Travel Tips

Before You Leave Home

  • Provide your office and family with your itinerary to insure they know how to reach you.
  • Do not lock your luggage unless you are using a TSA approved lock. If the TSA (Transportation Safety Administration) needs to get into your luggage and you have locked it using an unapproved TSA lock, the lock will be broken. All necessary repairs are at the traveler’s expense.
  • Do not place any sharp implements in your carry-on bags.
  • Place all medicines and valuables in your carry-on bags.
  • Be sure to tag your luggage with your home address. For extra protection, put your address or business card inside each piece of checked or unchecked bags.
  • Most airlines will now allow you to go on-line 24 hours prior to your flight to pre-print your boarding pass. If you choose to do so, please understand the following restrictions:
    • If you check-in on-line and proceed to the airport without the boarding pass, you will have to wait in line for a live person to get the boarding pass "re-printed". You will be unable to use a kiosk.
    • Once you’ve checked in on-line, you cannot upgrade or change seats without going to a live person.
    • If you miss your flight for any reason, your ticket is considered used and has no value!

At the Departure Airport – Domestic Travel

  • Have a picture ID available for check-in.
  • Be at the airport 2 hours prior to your departure time.
  • If you are checking luggage, most airlines will enforce the policy that all luggage must be checked no later than 45 minutes prior to departure. Do not leave your luggage unattended in public areas. Do not accept packages from strangers.
  • All airlines have restrictions for the number of carry-ons allowed. Please check with your airline of choice to find out their restrictions. Carry-ons must fit in the overhead compartment or in the storage area underneath the seat in front of you. This regulation is strictly enforced.
  • Put all undeveloped film and cameras with film in your carry-on baggage. Checked baggage screening equipment will damage undeveloped film.
  • At the security area be prepared to:
    • Take your PC out of your carry on.
    • Remove all metal items from your pockets
    • Remove your shoes and your jacket

In the Plane

  • In most instances, airlines will only offer beverage service on coach flights. You should plan accordingly by eating prior to departure or bringing something to eat on the plane.

At the Arrival Airport

  • Luggage retrieval at the airport can be very slow! Be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes.
  • Luggage looks the same – especially when you’re in a hurry; be sure to verify that the luggage you pick up is, in fact, yours.

At Your Hotel

  • For your safety make note of emergency exits and procedures as outlined in the in-room/hotel guest services information.
  • Adhere to all hotel security guidelines and recommendations.

For Your Safety

  • To avoid being a target of crime, try not to wear conspicuous clothing and expensive jewelry and do not carry excessive amounts of money or unnecessary credit cards.
  • Carry traveler’s checks instead of cash but do not countersign them before you plan to use them. Separate your credit cards from your cash and leave in your hotel room safe.
  • Use only well lit automatic tellers and never count your money in the open.
  • Carry wallets and purses securely and do not leave them on chairs or under tables.
  • If you plan on going out, travel in groups and never alone.
