Because of its strength and ability to affect change on a national scale, the NAO National Training Center has been awarded many national scale projects. The National Training Center currently manages the 'Improving HPV Immunization Rates on a National Scale Utilizing the National AHEC Network Project' through a cooperative agreement with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This project aims to improve HPV immunization rates of 11- and 12-year-old males and females throughout the nation by improving clinician training and understanding of the vaccine.
The Conference Planning Committee for the National AHEC Organization (NAO) 2016 Conference invites you to submit a proposal for a concurrent session or poster presentation for the conference scheduled for June 27 – 30, 2016 in Washington, DC.
The conference theme for 2016 is AHEC on the Hill: A Capitol Idea! The goals of the conference are:
1. To provide practical skills and information to implement or improve AHEC-sponsored programs.
2. To enhance the professional development of AHEC directors, staff and board members.
3.To enable participants to develop new approaches that advance the AHEC mission.
Proposals are to be submitted online. Please read all of the directions carefully to ensure that all submission requirements are met.
