AHEC Alumni/Advocate AHEC Alumni/Advocates are NAO members who have been served by Area Health Education Centers in some way and wish to stay connected (or get re-connected) to the AHEC mission of strengthening healthcare for vulnerable populations.
AHEC Alumni/Advocate - Current Scholar As a health professions student enrolled as an AHEC Scholar through an AHEC Program Office or AHEC Center, until your completion of the program your membership is at no cost to you. AHEC Program OfficeOrganizations at academic institutions that support a network of regional AHEC Centers in support of community-based health professions training programs, whether or not they are currently receiving Federal funding through the AHEC Program. AHEC CenterOrganizations with an independent 501(c)3 status that maintain formal affiliation agreements with an AHEC Program Office, OR organizations with an independent advisory board that are sponsored by another institution, business, or organization that maintains a formal affiliation agreement with an AHEC Program Office. Individuals such as Board members, faculty, advisory committee members and other community individuals at large that maintain a relationship with an AHEC organization.
