Erica Davis, NAO POCG Chair, NAO Board Member (POCG representative) will facilitate our September 8 meeting: Building a High-Performing Culture though Organizational Engagement In this session we will discuss best practices for organizational and employee engagement. Engaged workers are more productive, stay with employers longer, thereby boosting your organizational efforts. Today we will dig into how to build an engagement strategy, setting realistic and measurable expectations, considering how we “talk” to others, and establishing a responsive and regular communication loop by creating a collaborative organizational work environment. Objectives: 1. Best Practices for Engagement 2. How to work Collaboratively as Centers and Program Offices 3. Identifying how to Effectively Communicate Concerns 4. How to Enhance Funding Opportunities Erica Davis, MSNP, GCDF, GAL, YMHFA-I, is the AHEC Associate Director and has been with Hawaii Pacific Basin AHEC since October of 2016. She oversees day to day operations and facilitates activities that promote academic success, career development and personal growth for students who are interested in health care careers. She runs the AHEC Scholars Program and oversees evaluation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education/Athletic Training from the University of South Carolina, her Masters in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from Walden University, and is currently working towards her PhD in Public Policy and Administration.
