As the member organization for the entire AHEC network, NAO is uniquely positioned to cultivate partnerships with national organizations and AHECs on mutually beneficial projects in the following service areas. NAO often subcontracts with strategically identified AHECs to fulfill the project goals of a national partner when the projects aligns with the AHEC mission.

Workforce development – Cultivate audiences and support content development for health care professional continuing education.

Outreach and promotion – Conduct virtual, hybrid or in-person outreach through trusted networks to priority populations based on geographic, demographics, professional affiliation, etc.

Technical assistance – Provide targeted support for organizations and projects through the provision of focused technical assistance services.

Data collection – Facilitate quantitative or qualitative data to advance understanding of evolving trends, innovative practices, challenges and opportunities.

Scaling what works – If an innovative project works, NAO can leverage the AHEC network to adapt and replicate projects to expand to other parts of the country.
