Each year, thousands of individuals participate in AHEC programs and go on to become health professionals serving their communities.That's why the National AHEC Organization (NAO) created the AHEC Alumni/Advocate membership category.AHEC Alumni/Advocates are individuals who have been positively impacted by Area Health Education Centers and want to stay connected--or reconnect-- with the AHEC mission of expanding and enhancing healthcare access in rural and disadvantaged communities.
